Position Description

Robotic Welder

Chapter 2, Inc. is a full-service manufacturer specializing in precision manufacturing and engineering services. Chapter 2 is currently seeking to fill a Robotic Welding position on 1st shift. Hours are 6am-2pm Monday-Friday. You will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining automated welding systems to produce high-quality welded components. Ensuring that robotic weld systems produce accurate, durable, and repeatable welds that meet the high standards of a precision manufacturing environment. Work is subject to process and final inspection. The job typically requires the ability to follow written instructions and read blueprint specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols.
· Operate large-scale CNC robotic welding machines.
· Set up components for welding according to specifications.
· Perform secondary work such as grinding and sanding between cycle times.
· Follow all quality and safety requirements.
· Assist with housekeeping and maintain a clean work area.
· To monitor, carry out and abide by company policies.

Requirements:
· Candidate(s) should be a reliable and responsible individual
· Able to work independently and well with others
· Must have excellent attendance record
· Must be able to lift 50lbs
· Must pass respirator fit test
· Current Welding certification preferred (may substitute experience for certification)
