Position Description
Quality Inspector
Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, the QC Inspector is responsible for supporting the Quality Department with quality procedures on a daily basis and assisting with Chapter 2’s Production Department. Under supervision, perform repetitive inspections following standardized methods and procedures. Visually inspect or check parts using a variety of precision measuring instruments or against fixed samples. Check dimensions and finishes against blueprints or order specifications. May perform finishing operations to correct rejected parts or assist with other production activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
*Perform incoming (of parts and raw materials) and process inspections per Quality Dept. procedures and final inspection of product per company procedures as assigned.
*This includes but does not limit:
- Surf tests, roaming inspections, approvals, re-approvals, calibrations and outgoing inspections
- Noting time spent on all duties listed above
- Filling out scrap part sheets
- Putting away parts, gauges
- Cleaning the Quality Lab
*Conducting training verifications and quality audits on time to ensure the quality and knowledge of specific production employees
*Assist with other duties as assigned by the Quality Engineer and/or departments as needed.
*To monitor, carry out and abide by company policies.
Candidate(s) should be a reliable and responsible individual, able to work independently and well with others. Must have excellent attendance record! Heavy lifting and standing is required.
