Position Description

We are currently seeking to fill a Human Resources Generalist position; 40-45 hours per week. Hours of work are Monday-Friday with primary hours 7:30pm-4:00pm (will be required to come in early on orientation days and other days as determined). Our ideal candidate must be detail oriented, organized and dependable.

Base Wage: $58,000 annually and could go up from there based on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Selection:

  • Create, post and sustain job advertisements for opportunities with the company
  • Collect and maintain materials from individuals including employment applications, cover letters, resumes and others
  • Correspond with applicants regarding employment; reply to inquiries, conduct phone screens, provide company status / updates, send rejection notices

Hiring & Orientation:

  • Schedule and monitor candidate assessments, tours, interviews, pre-employment screening appointments and onboarding
  • Conduct “New-Hire” orientation
  • Maintain inventory, prepare and order materials as needed
  • Assign and submit Health / Medical questionnaires for Respirator Clearance, as needed

Payroll:

  • Serve as primary Payroll Processor
  • Verify time (OT, vacation, absences) with supervisors/managers to approve
  • Edit time, assign earnings codes and comments for attendance program

Employee Events:

  • Plan and organize company events

Employee Training:

  • Responsible for maintaining employee records and coordinating training in the LMS for all employees
  • Responsible for managing the input/updating of training into the LMS System

Other Administrative Functions:

  • Oversee and manage the performance evaluation process
  • Create new and update existing job descriptions
  • Prepare meeting materials as needed: Agendas, PowerPoints, notes, etc.
  • Conduct audits to fulfill department needs and compliance regarding: I-9s, health coverage and premiums, hiring and safety invoices, etc.
  • Maintain employee records
  • Maintain employee communications bulletin boards (quality, benefits, production, safety)
  • Completion of the required task within the desired deadline.
  • To monitor, carryout and abide by company policies.

Experience:

  • Microsoft Office experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • 2 years experience in Human Resources Preferred

Base Wage: $58,000 annually and could go up from there based on experience
